Double siding highways project begins

Master plan for Double siding the roads in all of the main roads and highways across kurdistan has began.

Kamaran Ahmed, Roads and transit minister told (xendan) that the master plan project of double siding all of kurdistan main highways has began, and completing them in time depends on providing the required budget by the government.

"every year the government provides a budget for master plan of highways in kurdistan, so finishing the phase one of the plan depends on the continuous allocation of a budget for the ongoing construction every year" he added.

KTV: a motor way is now under construction connecting Erbil to Zaxo.

it will take one hour to reach zaxo from Erbil, then it will be connected to Kirkuk and to Suli.

Duration: 2 years.

cost: $2 billion

Suli 120 meter highway

Starts from Tasluja which is 31 kms long, 4 interchanges included, few bridges, goes across Tanjaro stream, will merge at Suli-Arbet road.

Te second part starts from behind Keneke suburb and Salam military base all the to Peshrew tunnel then it will be divided to 30,40 and 60 meter roads will continue to the edges of Goyzha mountain till it reaches Qirge suburb, from there it will continue as a 100 meter road including 5 interchanges.

Once the project is done, the roads issues of Suli city will be much solved.
