A closed sports hall will be opened by July 1st, with a friendly match between a Kirkuk club and a Turkish club.

Muhana al-Shammari, Kirkuk: Jabar Muhamad, director of Sports Activities said, “this project is a closed sports hall, which was given to an Iraqi company in 2008 with expenses of 5.600.000.000 Ids.” He later he described the hall as being , “ on four acres of land, and is built in both a modern and global style.”

Kirkuk has four closed halls; three of them belonging to the Education Ministry, and one of them to Youth Directorate.

"from 2011-2012 ,there are 80,000 Kurdish students who will be studying in Kurdish" said Kurdish language education minister in kerkuk Sherzad Rashid Kaka.

"There are 437 kurdish schools in the province but we need another 20 to overcome the crowded schools" he said.

Kirkuk provincial Council has decided to allocate (90) Billion IDS from the 2012 budget for renovation and construction of roads in Kirkuk.
Qasm Hamza director of roads in kirkuk to (Kirkuknow) " from 2012 budget the Provincial Council have allocated (9) million US to road projects in Kirkuk which include renovation and pavement of ( Kikruk - Chamchaml , Laylan , Shwan , Duz , and Gwetapa).

Bayati who is also a member in KPC pointed out that according to the plan they have agreed on till 2013 all road projects in Kirkuk will be implemented 100%. he also revealed during the past 7 years 80% of the projects were stopped due to the lack of necessary budget to implement the projects.

In an effort to rebuild the city, the Kurdistan regional government implements 19 projects in Kirkuk.

Younis Ahmed, director of Refugee Relief Group in Kirkuk told Pukmedia.com they have received permission from Rebuilding Ministry of KRG to implement several service projects in Kirkuk.

The permission is for two sets of projects, with “the first set is to implement eight already ongoing projects, with 723 million Iraqi dinars being dedicated to it. The second consists of 11 new projects, with 263 million Iraqi dinars as a budget.”

Ahmed said that most of the projects are sent to the contractors to deal with them.

The projects are transferring electricity to some new neighborhoods, villages, and new places in Kirkuk, as well as drinking water project to some villages, a tartan stadium, paving streets and roads, as well as giving school equipment.
