Kirkuk Education has allocated 1.4 million Iraqi dinars on petro-dollar budget to build three kindergartens.

Sahar Harb, head of the Kirkuk Education media confirmed the news, stating that “Three kindergartens will be built in different locations of Kirkuk to serve the children.” The kindergartens will be built on 200 square meters with one hall and several sections for each.

Two more kindergartens are planned in Daquq and Taza towns after the completion of the three planned in Kirkuk. More than one hundred public kindergartens are located in Kirkuk under Kirkuk Education.

Kirkuk governor Najmadeen Karim decided Wednesday to build 5000 residential units in Kirkuk for the city’s poor.

There are an increasing number of renters while housing shortcomings is one of the prominent crises in Kirkuk and other Iraqi cities beside bad security situations.

The governor stated today in a meeting with Kirkuk investment committee and a number of the city’s investor that a plan has been made by the committee includes building 5000 residential units in the city that will be sold to the poor people at a reasonable price.

Karim made sure that the city’s administration will not prioritize any investors or any firms, saying that there will be a transparent tendering process.

Falah Bazzaz head of the committee said that a portion of land in the northern city has been allocated to the project as a bid to address the housing problems.

There are a great number of people who live in the governmental buildings and cannot afford to buy new houses due to poverty. Those people will be prioritized to be settled in the new houses, Karim said.

Karim said on June 6 that they will build 670 houses on the petrodollar budget.

ERBIL, September 4 (AKnews) – Kirkuk province is implementing 1,500 service projects at a cost of 800bn IQD.

The announcement came in a meeting between Kirkuk governor Najm al-Din Karim and directorates of the city along with Karim's deputy and head of committee projects in Kirkuk Provincial Council.

Media secretary of the governorate Dler Samad said: "The attendees discussed the projects, their referral and execution.

"Some 32 projects were referred out of 41 announced projects as part of developing the regions. Also 61 projects were referred out of 73 of petro-dollar projects."

The secretary added: "Also in the meeting, the participants discussed building 1,500 housing units for civil servants on 175,000 square metres by the Directorate of Urban Planning."

KIRKUK, Sept.13 (AKnews)- A delegation of MPs from the Kurdistan Region Parliament arrived today in Kirkuk for meeting with the officials in the ethnically diverse oil rich Kirkuk.

The delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Arsaln Bayiz. His deputy Hassan Mohammed and most leaders of the political blocs in Parliament are in the delegation.

Kirkuk Governor Najmaddin Kareem received the delegation.

After the meeting with Kirkuk officials the delegation is expected to hold a joint press conference with Kirkuk governor.
