US Forces Under Attack Again

Several rockets were fired on Monday in the direction of Iraq’s Ain Asad base housing US forces, as rocket and drone attacks on US and Coalition forces have lately intensified

Reuters cited two army officials as saying that the four rockets had landed in an area near the base, with no confirmed updates of possible casualties or serious material damage.

Two security officials also commented on the incident, pointing out that the rockets were fired from a desert area around 25km (15 miles) north of the base, with Iraqi security forces conducted a search operation for the perpetrators.

Since the conflict began on October 7 and given the threats by Iranian-aligned Iraqi groups, there has been a notable rise in attacks on US forces. These attacks are linked to concerns that Washington's support for Israel in the conflict with Hamas could lead to the targeting of US interests using missiles and drones by these groups.

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan issued a warning on Sunday, cautioning against initiating or supporting attacks on US bases in the Middle East.

“We said that if our troops were attacked, we would respond. We responded. If they're attacked again, we will respond again,” Sullivan said on CBS’ Face The Nation. "We are vigilant, because we are seeing elevated threats."

Last Friday, US warplanes conducted airstrikes in Syria, specifically targeting pro-Iranian factions believed to be responsible for several of the recent attacks on US bases in the region.

Iraq vows to expel US troops

Kataib Hezbollah Secretary-General warns that the Resistance will pursue armed struggle until US troops are expelled from the country

The Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi said the faction had set its mind on liberating Iraq, utilizing military means. "This is settled," he sternly said.

Sheikh al-Kaabi promised that the movement would continue its armed struggle until the goal of expelling United States military forces from Iraq is achieved.

"We will not stop, we will not settle, we will not back out," the leader emphasized, promising greater action in the coming days.

The US occupation set up its bases in Iraq following its invasion and occupation of the country in 2003. Although Washington has reduced its military presence in Iraq under the plight of the resistance, it still maintains tens of camps and two airbases in the country.

Amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Resistance in Iraq rose to the occasion and has been targeting US military bases in northeastern Syria and Iraq since October 13. The attacks come in opposition to the US-backed Israeli aggression on Gaza and in the context of expelling foreign forces from Iraq, which has suffered for more than 20 years from the US aggressive foreign policy in the Middle East.

Earlier today, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced targeting the US occupation base in al-Tanf using two drones, confirming direct hits.

The Pentagon had announced that American forces were subjected to approximately 27 attacks between October 17 and October 30.

Yesterday, the United States occupation base in al-Omar oil field, in eastern Deir Ezzor, Syria, was targeted by rocket fire.

Moreover, sources revealed that the attack coincided with a series of loud explosions within the American base.

The US has also treated the attacks with extreme secrecy, to avoid the repercussions of admitting real losses in these attacks.

US occupation base in Syria

Shortly after the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the two drone strikes on the US Harir Base in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, it also targeted a US occupation base in al-Shaddadi, Syria

Al Mayadeen's sources revealed that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted a US occupation base in al-Shaddadi, Syria.

Around midnight, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the two drone strikes on the US Harir Base in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced, on Friday, that it targeted a vital site of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in "Eilat" (Umm Rashrash) in solidarity with Gaza and in response to the Israeli massacres against Palestinians.

In a statement, it affirmed its determination to strike at the enemy's strongholds.

Concurrently, the Iraqi Resistance targeted the US occupation base in Kharab al-Jeer air base in northeastern Syria.

Kataib Hezbollah set on liberating Iraq

The Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah, Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi, said on Wednesday that the faction has set its mind on liberating Iraq, utilizing military means. "This is settled," he sternly said.

Sheikh al-Kaabi promised that the movement would continue its armed struggle until the goal of expelling United States military forces from Iraq was achieved.

About 50,000 US Troops in Middle East

A recent report has provided a comprehensive overview of the deployment of 40,000 to 60,000 US troops across the Middle East

The report, published on the "Voices of Iraq" website, detailed the distribution of US military forces in the Middle East, including their presence in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. It specifically outlined troop numbers in each country and the corresponding military bases.

According to the report, the US military maintains a substantial presence in 21 countries throughout the Middle East, extending from Egypt in the western region to Kazakhstan in the northeast. These deployments encompass various military bases and command centers.

The Navy

According to AFP, the Middle East currently hosts 18 naval vessels, including prominent aircraft carriers such as the USS Nimitz and Harry Truman, alongside three missile destroyers, namely, the USS Lassen, USS Farragut, and USS Farragut-missile cruiser USS Normandy.

With the recent escalation of conflict between Hamas and Israel, the United States has deployed two aircraft carriers, the USS Gerald Ford and USS Eisenhower, to the border near Israel, accompanied by approximately 2,000 naval troops serving on US warships.

Additionally, the United States has positioned the Patriot missile defense system in the Middle East, and support forces equipped with A-10, F-15, and F-16 fighter jets.

The Middle East's largest US military bases are reportedly located in Qatar and Bahrain, housing naval and submarine combat groups, a stationary force, mine clearance units, and maritime surveillance forces.

Furthermore, Sheikh Isa Air Base, situated south of Manama, regularly accommodates US military aircraft, including F-16, F/A-18, and P-3 surveillance aircraft.

Since Operation Desert Storm in 1991, US troops have been stationed in Kuwait, with Ali Salem Air Base being one of the most vital locations. This extensive military base houses approximately 10,000 troops, of which about 1,400 are permanent, while the remainder constitutes a temporary force distributed across conflict areas in the region. These numbers may adjust in response to changing circumstances and threats.

The headquarters of US forces in the Middle East relocated to the al-Odeid air base southwest of Doha, Qatar, after departing from Saudi Arabia. Presently, this base stands as the largest US military facility in the Middle East and accommodates a significant US troop presence.

The Joint Air Operations Center, located at al-Odeid air base, is tasked with coordinating the efforts of the US Air Force and its allied partners throughout the Middle East, with a particular focus on operations in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

Iraq and Syria

In the aftermath of the extensive territorial gains made by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria in 2014, the United States initiated deployments of troops aimed at training and providing advisory support to local joint forces in both countries. Presently, there are approximately 2,500 troops stationed in Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, while an additional 900 troops are positioned in Syria.

Egypt

In Egypt, US troops represent the majority of members of the multinational observers, which oversee implementation of the Camp David agreements.

Israel

In addition to the recent ships sent to the seas near Israel after the Hamas attack, US troops have been deployed at Mashabim air base in the Negev desert to support the Iron Dome missile defense system.

Jordan

Most U.S. troops in Jordan are based at King Faisal Air Base in Al Jaffar.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia ended the presence of US military bases on its territory in 2003, although a limited number of troops remained as part of training missions and military cooperation between the two countries.

The UAE

Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates has served as a critical military installation for over 25 years, hosting a longstanding U.S. military presence.

Turkey

Turkey's Incirlik air base is an important base for the United States and NATO to respond quickly to incidents.

Armed Attacks Only Option Against US

A pro-Iran Shia militia group said on Sunday it believes that political solutions are “useless” with Washington, saying attacking the US bases in Iraq is the “only option”, according to an official statement

Ashab al-Kahf, a branch from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, said in a statement that it views the US embassy in Baghdad as the “source of terrorism in the region”, demanding its closure.

“The American embassy of evil is the source of terrorism in the region, and the black chamber where all terrorist operations in our regions are planned and coordinated, and for this reason, it must be closed, in addition to expelling the Americans from the military bases present,” the statement added.

"Peaceful and diplomatic solutions have failed, and we have no choice left but the military solution. When night falls, we illuminate the paths with the muzzles of our rifles, and your bases will be within the range of the resistance's gunfire. The U.S. embassy and all of America mean nothing to us,” it continued. “We say to the Americans, our bullets are loaded, and you are not safe. Beware."

This comes as United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Baghdad on Sunday evening where he met with PM Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani to address the threats and attacks against US forces in Iraq by pro-Iran armed groups.

Blinken conveyed the United States' wish to steer clear of direct conflicts with Iran but stressed their determination to protect American interests from assaults orchestrated by Iranian-supported armed factions.

Iraqi attacks US military bases

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that its fighters attacked several US occupation bases in Iraq and Syria as the US grows more unwelcome in the region

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced Monday that its Resistance fighters attacked four US occupation bases in Iraq and Syria in six separate attacks.

The US occupation's Ain al-Assad base in Western Iraq was attacked three times, with another attack targeting the US occupation's base near the Erbil International Airport.

The US occupation's Tel Bider base in northern Syria and Al-Tanf in southern Syria were the subjects of the remainder of the attacks.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq made an announcement declaring that they put Al-Aqsa 1 medium-range missile into service, saying it was launched at the US occupation's bases in Iraq and Syria
"In the context of responding to the Zionist occupation's crimes in its aggression on Gaza under US diktats and administration, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq reveals Monday, and for the first time, the putting into the medium range Aqsa 1 into service, wherein it was launched at US occupation bases in Iraq and Syria in some of its operations. Allah’s Will always prevails," the statement read.

The missile looks to be precision-guided from the fins on the front section. An analysis of the dimensions apparent in the photo shows that the missile bears similarities with Iran's Fath-360 missile, which has a range of 120 km, a warhead of 150 kg, and a diameter of 360 mm.

An Al Mayadeen correspondent reported earlier on Monday that a kamikaze drone targeted the US base north of Al-Hasakah, northeast Syria.

On Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it “will begin next week a new phase in confronting the enemies, in support of Palestine, and in revenge for the martyrs", stressing that it will be "tougher and broader against the enemy’s bases in the region."

Operations against US military bases

The Iraqi Islamic Resistance continues to target American bases in Iraq and Syria in conjunction with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

On October 18, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance targeted US forces in Ain al-Aasad and Harir in the Iraqi province of Kurdistan.

On October 19, the US base in al-Tanf came under attack by three drones. On the same day, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for a missile attack on the Conoco US military base in Deir Ezzor.

On October 20, an explosion was heard in the vicinity of the US Victoria military site, near Baghdad Airport, responsibility for which was claimed later by Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah. On the same day, several powerful explosions occurred in al-Omar oil field and the gas line connecting the Conoco gas field and the Abu Khashab desert in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

On October 23, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance targeted US occupation bases al-Tanf and other US occupation bases near al-Rukban camp with UAVs.

On October 26, US forces in al-Shadadi occupation base in al-Hasakah, Syria, came under a rocket attack by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. Earlier in the day, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that its Resistance fighters targeted the US occupation Ain al-Assad base.

On October 28, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted US forces at the Al-Tanf base in Syria with two drones.

On October 29, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted al-Hasakah US military base in Syria using suicide drones.

On October 30, the US occupation military base in al-Omar gas field in Syria was shelled from Iraqi territory. Later, it was reported that the Ain al-Asad airbase in Iraq was targeted with a barrage of 4 rockets by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

On October 31, the Iraqi resistance targeted Ain al-Assad base in Iraq using two UAVs. Concurrently, US bases in the Conoco gas field and al-Omar gas field in Syria were subjected to missile attacks.

On November 1st, Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced targeting the US occupation base in al-Tanf using two drones, confirming direct hits.

On November 3rd, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it targeted a vital site of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in "Eilat" (Umm Rashrash) in solidarity with Gaza and in response to the Israeli massacres against Palestinians.

On November 4th, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq also claimed responsibility for targeting the Harir US base in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region using two drones. Shortly after, they targeted a US occupation base in al-Shaddadi, Syria.

On November 5th, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the successful bombardment that targeted the US occupation forces at the Tal Baidar base in al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

US Strikes Iran-Linked Base in Syria

The US military in a statement on Thursday said two F-15 fighter jets struck a weapons storage facility in eastern Syria used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups

“This precision self-defense strike is a response to a series of attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by IRGC-Quds Force affiliates,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement today
The President has no higher priority than the safety of U.S. personnel, and he directed today’s action to make clear that the United States will defend itself, its personnel, and its interests.”

The US defense chief added: “The United States is fully prepared to take further necessary measures to protect our people and our facilities,” asserting: “We urge against any escalation.”

There has recently been a surge in drone and rocket attacks targeting US forces in Iraq, Syria, and the Kurdistan Region. The Pentagon has reported that at least 24 US service members have been injured in these attacks, which it blamed on "Iranian-backed militia groups."

Recently, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan warned "Iran-backed militias groups" against launching or sponsoring attacks on US bases in the Middle East.

UN warns attacks on US in Syria

“We're very concerned about these developments that we've seen not only in Syria but in Iraq,” spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told Rudaw’s Sinan Tuncdemir during a press briefing when asked about attacks by a pro-Iran militia group on US troops.

“They are an indication of the risk of further spreading of the conflict that we have seen. And it is incumbent on everyone to respect the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq and to engage in maximum possible restraint so as not to increase the risk of spreading,” he added.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a pro-Iran militia group, has claimed responsibility for dozens of drone and rocket attacks on US troops in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and Syria since last month in reaction to Washington’s support for Israel in its war against Palestinian Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

On Monday, Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder told journalists that there had been a total of 38 attacks on US troops since October 17. Twenty of them in Iraq and 18 in Syria.

According to the Pentagon spokesman, 45 American personnel were injured in the attacks, all of them prior to US retaliatory strikes on facilities used by groups affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Syria on October 26.

Around 2,500 American troops in Iraq and 900 in Syria are leading an international coalition in Operation Inherent Resolve that has assisted Kurdish, Iraqi, and local Syrian forces in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS), which once held swathes of land in Iraq and Syria but was declared territorially defeated in 2019.

The storage facility of Erbil province’s Harir air base housing US troops caught fire late Thursday after two suicide drones hit the base. The same pro-Iran group claimed responsibility for the attack.

US occupation forces attacked

The US occupation forces in Syria are once again being attacked as the

The US occupation forces in Rmelan, northeastern Syria, were attacked by the Islamic Resistance, informed sources told Al Mayadeen on Friday.

The town, located in an area controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) houses a US occupation base, with the region being the target for numerous Resistance operations as anger grows with the US over its support of the Israeli occupation's maniacal genocide in Gaza.

As anti-US sentiment grows and the occupation forces grow increasingly unwelcome, operations carried out by the Iraqi Resistance have thus far, according to US figures, caused 56 casualties among US forces in 46 operations carried out since October 17.

Just on Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that its Resistance fighters launched UAV attacks on the US occupation's Al-Tanf base in Syria, with direct hits confirmed.
Relentless attacks

A rocket strike targeted US forces at Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq three consecutive times a few hours apart with different weapons that hit their targets, our correspondent reported on Thursday.

"The first bombing was carried out through a rocket strike, while the second bombing was carried out through a drone strike," our correspondent detailed.

Later, the US base of Harir in northern Iraq also came under attack with drones, the responsibility of which was claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

The Resistance group issued a statement, saying, "Our freedom fighters targeted the US occupation base of Harir with two drones that directly hit their targets."

On Wednesday, as well, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced having targeted the US occupation's base in the Green Village in the depths of Syrian territories with drones in three separate operations. Additionally, US forces in al-Shadadi, also in the depths of Syria, came under attack.

[b][size=120]The list goes on.

The Secretary-General of Iraqi Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Abu Alaa al-Walai, affirmed that the Resistance operations in Iraq will not stop unless Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip cease.

"There will be no truce with the US occupation in Iraq unless a genuine and binding ceasefire is established in the Gaza Strip," he stated.

He further noted that the safe withdrawal of US forces from Iraq depends on the secure and continuous arrival of humanitarian aid convoys to Gaza.

Al-Walai reaffirmed the strong commitment of Islamic resistance in Iraq to support Palestine, its people, and its resistance efforts.

Suspected US Airstrikes

Fresh airstrikes, suspected to have been carried out by US warplanes, were reported on late Sunday against pro-Iran militias in Syria, a war monitor said

The airstrikes targeted a military headquarters near the city of Al-Mayadeen on the western bank of the Euphrates River, which is under control of Iran-backed groups and the Syrian government, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported
They also targeted, with four air strikes, sites in Albu Kamal near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to the London-based Observatory. However, the air raid has not been confirmed yet neither by the US CENTCOM nor the US-led Coalition.

The US has lately carried out airstrikes against Iran-backed militia groups in Syria in response to an increase in drone and rocket attacks by the militias on US forces in Iraq, Syria, and the Kurdistan Region.

Last Thursday, the US military said that a weapons cache belonging to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups was targeted by airstrikes in eastern Syria.

“This precision self-defense strike is a response to a series of attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by IRGC-Quds Force affiliates,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement at the time.

US fortifying illegal occupation bases

Sources reveal to Al Mayadeen that the United States is fortifying its occupation in Syria fearing new Resistance operations

Sources disclosed to Al Mayadeen that the United States is experiencing unprecedented confusion and is fortifying its forces in its military occupation bases in Syria.

This move comes amid fears of operations by the Resistance that have so far resulted in 58 casualties according to the latest US report, as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to target the American presence in both Syria and Iraq, in alignment with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and in support of Gaza.

The sources confirmed that al-Omar oilfield base, the largest American occupation base in Syria, and the Conoco gas plant base in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor have seen the arrival of additional reinforcements in weapons and equipment
Deployed hardware included anti-air systems, such as Avengers USAASC and THAAD, specialized in detecting and intercepting low-altitude targets, such as cruise missiles, drones, and loitering munitions.

Since October 17, the two bases have been targeted 18 times, with 10 attacks on al-Omar and 8 on Conoco, the sources added. The frequency of attacks on US troops, 61 as of November 17, has raised alarms, especially since there were approximately 80 similar incidents between January 2021 and March of this year.

These operations and their frequency have prompted Washington to take these measures, as both military bases are near the front lines with the Syrian Arab Army and its allied forces.

Furthermore, American forces are conducting daily training exercises simulating defense against incoming targets, evacuation procedures for residences and headquarters, and entering safe shelters within the occupation bases, in preparation for possible aerial and ground attacks, the sources revealed.

Since the escalation of Resistance operations against American sites, the United States has brought in more than 150 trucks loaded with equipment and weapons, utilizing the Kharab al-Jir airport and al-Shadadi base as air transportation hubs for these materials, according to the sources.

They also noted that the US has attempted to deter the Resistance attacks in Iraq. However, the increase and consistency of operations have proven that these attempts have so far failed.

Broken deterrence

While the Americans increased their threats against targeting their bases, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq not only continued to attack US military presence but also expanded its operations to target Israeli military sites in occupied Palestine.

Earlier this month, the Resistance group announced that it attacked a vital target for the Israeli occupation on the coast of the Dead Sea.

In a statement, the Iraqi factions said the operation came in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, confirming that it would continue to "strike the enemy's strongholds" until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops.

Incoherent strategy

A recent surge in operations against US occupation forces in the Middle East has ignited growing concerns within the Defense Department and raised questions about the American strategy of maintaining its foothold in the region, as well as facing growing Resistance groups exerting their right to self-determination.

In the latest toll admitted by Washington, Sabrina Singh, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Pentagon, informed journalists earlier this week that 56 US personnel sustained injuries in the operations, 32 of which were categorized with non-serious injuries, while the remaining 27 individuals suffered from traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Thus far, Biden has greenlit three rounds of airstrikes, all concentrated in eastern Syria, the most recent of which was on November 12. But the attacks have failed to quell the ongoing Resistance operations.

US officials are voicing their dismay with the "incoherent" approach and limited attacks on the Resistance groups practically telling Washington to leave the region alone as US President Joe Biden authorized airstrike after airstrike that seemed to not to so much as to decrease the pace of Resistance operations, The Washington Post reported.

Illegal US bases in Middle East targeted

A US official tells CNN that four attacks were launched on US military sites in Iraq and Syria on Thursday

An attack on Thursday morning saw Resistance factions launch suicide drones at US targets located in the Ain al-Assad and Erbil airbases in Iraq. A barrage of rockets also targeted the US occupation base in al-Omar oil field, which preceded an attack on the US occupation's Green Village base in Syria.

CNN said these attacks mark at least 73 operations against US forces in the region from a period ranging from October 17 to November 24.

In support of the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza, Resistance factions in Iraq and Syria have launched a series of continuous attacks on US military assets in said countries and in occupied Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq made it clear that the US unconditional support for the Israeli occupation has made it a legitimate target of the Resistance.

Earlier on Thursday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced its responsibility for four attacks that targeted the two aforementioned US military bases in Iraq.

The statement released by the Resistance faction revealed that it had launched four separate attacks in response to "Israel's" massacring of Palestinians. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirmed direct hits on the US bases via suicide drones.

The surge in attacks on US forces in the Middle East ignited growing concerns within the Defense Department and raised questions about the US strategy of maintaining its foothold in the region, as well as countering Resistance groups exerting their right to self-determination.

US officials voiced their dismay with the "incoherent" approach and limited attacks on the Resistance groups practically telling Washington to leave the region alone as US President Joe Biden authorized airstrike after airstrike that seemed to not to so much as to decrease the pace of Resistance operations, The Washington Post reported.

US violated Syria deconfliction protocols

Two pairs of Rafale fighter jets were observed engaging in four violations in the vicinity of the Al-Tanf area throughout the day

On Friday, Vadim Kulit, the deputy head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, reported that the US-led occupation coalition violated deconfliction protocols 43 times in Syria during November.

"In November, there have been 43 incidents of violation of deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by the coalition, related to drone flights uncoordinated with the Russian side," Kulit said.

In addition, it was noted that two pairs of Rafale fighter jets were observed engaging in four violations in the vicinity of the Al-Tanf area throughout the day. This area is situated in close proximity to the border with Iraq and Jordan.

The US has maintained an illegal presence and troops in Syria under the guise of fighting ISIS since 2014

US-backed forces are currently occupying parts of the provinces of Al-Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, and Raqqa, where the largest Syrian oil and gas fields are located.

US forces in Syria, Iraq attacked 74 times since October 7

The US occupation forces in Syria and Iraq have been attacked 74 times since October 7, the start date of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, a Pentagon official told an official from the Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Voice of America.

CNN cited a Pentagon official as saying that there was a missile attack on a US base in eastern Syria on Wednesday.

It is worth noting that the Pentagon said that since the implementation of a truce between "Israel" and the Palestinian Resistance, the frequent targeting of US bases in Syria and Iraq has come to a halt.

Pentagon Spokesperson Brigadier General Pat Ryder told journalists, “There have been no attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria since November 23, since the operational pause began."

The most recent attacks on US military bases in Iraq and Syria before the truce pushed the number of operations against US military assets in the Middle East to 73 since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, an unnamed US official told CNN.

The latest attacks saw the Iraqi Resistance launch suicide drones at US targets located in the Ain al-Assad and Erbil airbases in Iraq. A barrage of rockets also targeted the US occupation base in al-Omar oil field, which preceded an attack on the US occupation's Green Village base in Syria.
