Pascal the puppy is left for dead after cruel children covered him in industrial glue and dragged him through mud in Turkey

Pascal the puppy, who is though to be just fourth months old was found near an industrial estate in Turkey
He was left in horrendous condition with his fur matted with dried mud leaving him riddled with disease
He was so scared and ill that when vets picked him up from the side of the street he could not move
Thugs had put so much glue on him it was like cement leaving one ear necrotic as it was starved of blood

Such was the extent of the abuse suffered by Pascal that he lost hearing in one of his ears - pictured his matted fur covers one side of his body

He was found near an industrial estate in Istanbul, Turkey, and is being looked after by the charity He'Art of Rescue.

Children had put so much glue on him it acted like cement and one of his ears become necrotic because it was starved of blood.

His skin also suffered extreme damage from the strong chemicals found in the glue and had to undergo a series of medical baths to help aid his recovery.

But less than a month after being rescued Pascal is making an amazing recovery and is now unrecognisable and has even made friends with another puppy.

Despite being tormented by children, he appears relatively calm when vets have been caring for him, removing the matted fur which had bonded with the thick glue.

He was found to be suffering from the canine virus parvo, but has beaten the viral infection after several weeks of treatment.

Pascal had to endure a number of chemical baths due to the extreme damage the chemicals in the glue did to his skin (Pictured, soars cover his front legs)



After being the torment of his mal-treatment Pascal was so terrified that he often turned his back when approached - but weeks later he has finally regain his confidence

Nur Rima Yola, founder of He'Art of Rescue, said: 'Pascal was in a miserable state when I first saw him inside that box. He was not moving, he had frozen, very scared and very traumatised.

'After the glue has been removed, he stood in shock for one day. He was even turning his back to hide when he saw people.

'He is doing better, slowly getting used to the staff in the clinic where of course love is being poured towards him.

'He especially bonded with one of the doctors who is in charge of him, Hasan Akin. They are best buddies.'



Pascal was nursed back to health by the team at the clinic and they are now asking for donations to cover his medical bills



Adorable Pascal has already picked up admirers from around the world with millions of people viewing videos of him online.



When he was found vets feared the worse for Pascal, but now there is hope that he could re-homed with a new loving owner



Pascal has made friends with staff at the clinic as well as another puppy who he enjoys cuddling up next to and playing with



While many will have written Pascal off, medical staff and He'Art of Rescue are dedicating their time to helping the puppy recover before finding him a new home.

The malnourished mutt has already picked up admirers from around the world with millions of people viewing videos of him online.

He'Art of Rescue, which specialises in rescuing cats and dogs found in awful conditions, is appealing for help as they rehabilitate Pascal and other animals.

Rima added: 'We know his soul will mend in time and the adoptive family will play a major role in this. Our medical team is doing everything for him.'

He'Art of Rescue has been described as one of the best animal hospitals in Turkey, but its team are now appealing for donations to help cover Pascal's costly medical bills.

Poor dog. Generally, Turks are kind with animals. I saw many people from restaurants feeding cats. But children from all the world are cruel and stupids, that's a fact.

After I adopted a cat and a pigeon, I wonder when a dog will enter in my life…

It would not surprise me if one day a puppy just walked in through your door and made himself at home

Just think what these particular young savages will be capable of when hey are old enough to attack Kurds

Not that they stand much change of a long life as most people (including me) would be happy to treat them the same way they treated this puppy

People can be cruel with animals and kind with humans (it is the Christian behavior) and the contrary. After all, in Auschwitz and other nazi extermination camps, many SS were kind with dogs and Hitler himself was fond of pets (at least, dogs).

There is, in general, more respect for animals in Muslim culture than in Christianity.

I would strongly dispute that

In the UK we have a lot of problems with dog-hating Muslims - Pakistanis hate dogs - the British hate Pakistanis

I have personally had problems with Muslims while out with my dogs in town

Sometimes they pass rude comments - happily returned by myself and clapped at by people standing nearby

Muslims do not belong in the UK - we are an animal loving country - love us love our dogs or get lost

My parrot once bit a Muslim friend of mine - luckily he did not have food poisoning

They are not kind with them as with pets but they are not mean with them. The same for the cats. Kurds before had dogs and horses and loved them. Now there are few shepherds so there are less dogs in South (I saw many of big dogs in Dersim, against wolves).

Kurds now are fond of pigeons. They are afraid by cats but do not hit them. I heard that some people in Erbil have begun to take dogs as pets, probably to imitate Westerners. Some also have cats.

Kurds are often afraid of cats. In fact they are now afraid of many animals. That's funny. They are not used to pets.
