Turkey launches airstrikes against Kurdish rebels
The Turkish military has conducted airstrikes against Kurdish rebels in the north of Iraq and Turkey’s southeast. The three-hour overnight bombardment targeted a stronghold of the Kurdistan Workers Party (KPP), which is banned in Turkey. Warplanes also targeted the Turkish southeastern province of Sirnak, according to AP.
