KOARP is the only registered animal non-profit organisation in Kurdistan. It was founded by Dr Sulaiman Tameer who with a handful of dedicated animal welfare activists strive to make a difference to all animals great and small in Kurdistan.

Final Report of July 2025

We use more than (20) items of medicine, vaccine, minerals, disinfect, vitamins, de –worming and equipment that was very important to use for working animals some of them give with food or injection, some of them use for de-worming, some of them use for clean wounds.

We able to treated (55) stray dogs, (45) street cats, and (67) different kinds of tiger, squirrel, monkey, Hyena, wolf, domestic animals, birds and wild animals most of them was Prophylactic treatment, vaccination, wound, d-worming, weakness, mange, diarrhea, eye infection, genetic new born, fracture, external Parasite and feeding more than (60) stray cats and dogs.

• Shepherd dogs’ vaccination campaign started on 1st June 2025 and for July we vaccinated 40 shepherd dogs for IDP, refugees and poor farmers, 5 stray dogs and 5 stray cats.

• Again, for July we supported a lady volunteer in Bagerat Complex some wounds and eye medicine for treating some stray cats that she adopted for 8 a stray cat.

• TV interview with GAV TV, Var Social Media channel about Stray dogs’ population and situation of domestic animals and principles animal welfare in Iraq.

• Summer education and awareness children program started for July we visited Zewa children center and presented a seminar to 80 children about Rabies Diseases.
