Bafel Talabani is a traitor to the people of Kurdistan

PostAuthor: Anthea » Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:38 pm

After the founder and leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Jalal Talabani, died in 2017, a struggle for the leadership of the party ignited between Jalal's son Bafel Talabani and the then co-president Lahur Sheikh Jangi.

On the PUK's fourth congress in December 2019, Sheikh Jangi received the most votes for the General Leadership Council. In a compromise, he and Bafel were proclaimed co-presidents
In July 2021, Bafel shut down a media outlet close to Sheikh Jangi and ousted several important commanders from the counter-terrorism and intelligence units of the PUK, who were seen as affiliates of him.

Shortly after, Bafel ILLEGALLY declared himself the sole leader of the party.

In November, Lahur Sheikh Jangi was expelled from the PUK along a few others and Bafel took full control over the party's finances.

The People's Front is a social democratic Kurdish nationalist political party in the Kurdistan Region that was founded by the former co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Lahur Sheikh Jangi

As long as the DICTATOR Bafel Talabani remains in control of the PUK and continues to prevent the Peshmerga Unification Process, then sadly nobody should vote for the PUK

Reminder:

The 25 September 2017 independence referendum.

On that day, eligible voters from the Duhok, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Halabja and KRI-controlled areas of the Kirkuk, Diyala and Nineveh governorates voted ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question:

‘Do you want the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistani areas outside the administration of the Region to become an independent state?’
Upon tallying the votes, an overwhelming 92.73% majority voted YES

Who is the person responsible for Kurdistan not declaring Independence?

The EVIL TRAITOR Bafel Talabani

PUK Commando Killings

Journalists in Erbil have publicly condemned the killings of young people by Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) commandos in Sulaimaniyah, following the silence of their counterparts in Sulaimaniyah

Local media reported that a PUK commando fighter shot and killed a tea vendor named Ari and wounded another person in a Sulaimaniyah market last night. This marks the second such incident in the city within 10 days involving PUK commando forces.

While PUK security agencies claimed the commando was aiding someone else who committed the crime and both were arrested, media sources in Sulaimaniyah have identified the commando fighter as the main suspect.

Nabaz Rashad, a journalist in Erbil, criticized the PUK commando forces on social media, stating, "In other countries, commando units ensure the rule of law and foil major terrorist acts, while the PUK commando kills tea vendors and 16-year-old children."

Barzan Ali Hama, another Erbil-based journalist, also took to Facebook to express his disapproval of the PUK's actions and leadership. He commented on the seemingly erratic behavior of PUK leaders, particularly Bafel Talabani and Qubad Talabani, saying, "The current leaders of the PUK have a teenage interest in ground and armed demonstrations."
"From counter-terrorism to commando, from commando to counter-terrorism, then to [Peshmerga] Unit 70, from Unit 70 to commando, from commando to command, from operation to commando, from commando to secretariat brigade, again to the commando yard,” Hama added.

Criticizing Qubad Talabani's recent public appearances with commando units, he noted, "Suddenly he turns into a commando corridor, standing in line, six or seven of them shake hands and hug, as if they have not seen each other for twenty years, with many social media pages talking about this important visit live on Facebook!"

The criticism from Erbil journalists highlights growing concerns over the use of force by PUK commandos and the perceived lack of accountability within the party's security forces.

People's Front Leader
Blames PUK President for unrest

Lahur Sheikh Jangi, leader of the People's Front, has condemned the unstable situation in Sulaymaniyah, describing it as unacceptable by any standard and attributing the problems in the city to the PUK leader and his brother

He criticized local security forces for killing and arresting civilians indiscriminately and accused the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leadership of allowing its forces to act with impunity in the city.

On July 28, the leader of the People's Front in Sulaymaniyah, told his party's official media that security forces and police are supposed to make arrests based on a judge's order. However, he claimed that under the leadership of PUK President Bafel Talabani, the special Commando forces, which are under PUK control, regularly arrest and kill people without accountability.

"Unfortunately, what is happening in Sulaymaniyah is unparalleled globally. According to the law governing internal forces, only the police and security forces can arrest individuals based on a judge's decision. However, in Sulaymaniyah, it is the Commando forces of the 70th Unit and the Ministry of Peshmerga that are making arrests and killing people," stated Lahur Sheikh Jangi.

He further remarked, "The responsibility for these actions lies with Bafel Talabani himself. If my guards make a mistake, it reflects on me because I failed to properly train them."

Jangi also noted that a few days ago, Bafel Talabani visited the commando forces and congratulated them for asserting control over the city and restoring order, without addressing the violence committed by his forces against civilians.

He criticized the lack of functional government institutions in Sulaymaniyah and blamed Bafel Talabani and his brother, KRG Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, for arbitrary arrests and killings carried out by the PUK’s anti-terror forces and commandos.

"These forces are not authorized to arrest people. It is time for the people to speak out and refuse to tolerate this any longer," Jangi added.

On the night of July 27, a young man named Ari, a teacher, was killed in the Raperin neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah city. Local security forces later stated that they had responded to the scene, arrested the suspect, and detained a commando force employee on charges of aiding the killer.

In recent months, PUK forces have been accused of arresting local civilians, journalists, and activists in the province. So far, no individuals close to Bafel Talabani have been held accountable for these actions.

PUK Forces’ Actions in Sulaimaniyah

Kurdistan’s Counter-Terrorism Unit has issued a statement condemning the recent kidnapping and murder incidents in Sulaimaniyah involving Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) special forces

"The duty of the military and security institutions is to protect the security and property of the citizens, not to use them in political conflicts to kill civilians and spread fear and intimidation that is incompatible with the principles of the military and security forces,” the statement read.

On the night of July 27, a young tea vendor named Ari was killed in the Raperin neighborhood of Sulaimaniyah. Local security forces stated they had responded to the scene, arrested the suspect, and detained a commando force employee on charges of aiding the killer.

Additionally, a PUK commando force abducted Hardi Ismail, the director of Bazian police, taking him to an unknown location. This incident occurred just two days after two citizens were wounded by a PUK commando.

The statement expressed concern over the ongoing incidents in Sulaimaniyah, noting that these actions are being conducted under the guise of the military and security apparatus, resulting in citizens being arrested, kidnapped, tortured, and killed without due legal process.

"These actions undermine the name and greatness of the military and security apparatus, whose main task is to protect the property of the beloved citizens of Kurdistan, and instead spread fear, anxiety, and intimidation," the statement continued.

The Counter-Terrorism Unit emphasized that the military and security institutions should protect citizens' security and property, not be used in political conflicts to harm civilians and spread fear.

"We reiterate that the military and security apparatus should not be involved in personal, political, and partisan conflicts and should not be used for personal and unilateral interests."

In recent months, PUK forces have been accused of arresting local civilians, journalists, and activists in the province. So far, no individuals close to Bafel Talabani have been held accountable for these actions

Peshmerga Minister calls for reorganization
    to form strong national force
The Minister of Peshmerga Affairs, Shorsh Ismail, emphasized the urgent need to reorganize the Peshmerga forces to establish a formidable national force during a high-level meeting with U.S. officials

The head of the Security Coordination and Cooperation Office at the US Consulate, Lieutenant Colonel Gavin Rice, affirmed his country's support for this crucial initiative.

The meeting, which took place between Minister Ismail, Colonel Rice, and Major Tom Stauffer, Assistant US Military Attaché in Iraq, highlighted the current security dynamics in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the broader region.

In a statement issued by the Peshmerga Ministry, Minister Ismail stressed the importance of building a unified accounting unit within the Ministry, with assistance from international coalition partners.

He reiterated the ministry's ongoing efforts to establish additional divisions, aiming to organize and consolidate the Peshmerga forces into a cohesive and strong national defense force.

This reiterates the message that was released earlier on Monday by the newly appointed US Consul General Steve Bitner. In a bilingual address, Bitner expressed the US commitment to build "a professional and capable force to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS. By working together, we can address persistent security threats to the US, The Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the rest of the region."

Colonel Rice expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the reform process within the Peshmerga Ministry. He reaffirmed the United States' commitment to further cooperation, support, and coordination in strengthening the Peshmerga forces.

Call for assassination of PUK leader Bafel Talabani

Participating in a television programme in Turkey, İsmail Hakkı Pekin, former Chief of Intelligence of the General Staff, called for the assassination of PUK leader Bafel Jalal Talabani

İsmail Hakkı Pekin, former Chief of Intelligence of the General Staff, openly called for assassination in the programme ‘Gerçek Fikri Ne’ (What's the Real Idea) on Habertürk TV, moderated by Eren Eğilmez.

Pointing to the ‘security’ agreement concluded between Ankara and Baghdad on 15 August, Pekin said, “Turkey's agreement with Iraq is a very important agreement. We need to do the same on this side (Syria) as well. Bafel Talabani is said to be doing some things. You should deactivate him. In other words, you can assassinate him if necessary.”

Upon a warning from the studio, Pekin confessed about the assassination methods of the Turkish state, saying “You won’t do it, but have someone else do it.

People’s Front launches campaign with
    “We Can Do It” slogan
The People’s Front party, represented by list 169 and led by Lahur Sheikh Jangi, has officially launched its campaign for the sixth Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections. With the slogan “We Can Do It,” the party promises transformative governance reforms, calling for a broad overhaul in sectors such as economy, justice, and security

In a speech kicking off the campaign, Jangi expressed confidence in his party’s victory and stressed the importance of public participation in the October 20 elections. He presented the elections as a historic opportunity to break from what he described as “corrupt and criminal” governance, urging citizens to make their voices heard to enact real change.

Central to the People’s Front list’s platform is resolving the long-standing salary crisis in the Kurdistan Region. Jangi outlined a plan to unify salary payments across Iraq, emphasizing that his party’s focus is on the people’s welfare rather than empty slogans.

“The rule of law is our top priority,” Jangi said, pledging to free the judiciary from political influence. He also criticized the unchecked presence of illegal weapons and militias, arguing that the safety of citizens and their property would be restored under his leadership.

Education and healthcare reforms also feature prominently in the party’s platform. Jangi described both sectors as critical to the region’s future, stating that the People’s Front has ready-made plans to transform them.

The unification of the Peshmerga forces and the removal of political interference in the military were also addressed. Jangi promised better livelihoods for security forces and a commitment to draft a comprehensive constitution for the Kurdistan Region, ensuring the protection of religious, ethnic, and national identities.

Jangi closed by calling on voters to turn out in large numbers on election day, urging them to support list 169 to bring about a new era of governance for the Kurdistan Region.

Lahur Sheikh Jangi criticizes Mam Jalal’s sons
    On Anniversary of his death
“The sons of the late Mam Jalal cannot continue living off the history and name of their late father,” Jangi emphasized, suggesting that their current actions do not reflect the legacy their father left behind

In his statement, Lahur Sheikh Jangi acknowledged Mam Jalal's enduring legacy but expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of his sons, claiming they are relying solely on their father's history and name rather than forging their own path.

“The sons of the late Mam Jalal cannot continue living off the history and name of their late father,” Jangi emphasized, suggesting that their current actions do not reflect the legacy their father left behind.

Jangi also highlighted the significant role that Mam Jalal played in Kurdish and Iraqi politics, describing his impact as “alive and bright.”

He stressed that loyalty to Talabani’s memory extends beyond politics, embodying deep social and humanitarian dimensions. “I will try to keep the bright and beautiful aspects of his political and social life alive,” Jangi vowed.

Mam Jalal, a key figure in Kurdish history, passed away on October 3, 2017, after years of deteriorating health. He was sent to Germany for medical treatment in 2012 while still serving as the President of Iraq.

Baray Gal leader to revive Sulaimani

Lahur Talabany, leader of the new People’s Front (Baray Gal), rallied for support on Tuesday in Sulaimani, vowing to make the province more independent and a cultural development hub, while criticizing ruling parties for years of neglect

(Actually corrupt Bafel misused money allocated from central government )

"Any force that Sulaimani has supported has succeeded, and any force that Sulaimani has turned its back on has not been able to establish itself," Talabany said during his speech at a party rally, emphasizing the province's influence on the election process.

Early voting is scheduled for Friday and the general election on Sunday.

“Vote for us and make us an effective force in the political process,” the Baray Gal leader urged on Tuesday, which is the final day for official election campaigning, “so we can serve and protect you.”

He pledged to combat corruption and restructure personal taxes in accordance with legal guidelines and the financial capabilities of the people.

Talabany announced plans to develop "the largest theaters and cinemas in the city" along with sports stadiums, a new airport, and to host literary, intellectual, and research conferences.

He committed to decentralizing administrative processes in Sulaimani, eliminating the need for residents to travel to Erbil for bureaucratic tasks.

Talabany also highlighted issues such as illegal land occupation and smuggling. He also said that Sulaimani city's infrastructure has suffered from neglect.

Seven main roads leading to Sulaimani have been under construction for the past decade. Progress has been inconsistent, with some roads nearly completed but stalled for the past two years.

During a debate on Rudaw's Chwar Bazna (Four Constituencies) program on Monday, candidates from various parties exchanged blame for the failure to complete these critical road projects in the province.

Talabany criticized both the ruling Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which have shared power in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Following years of wrangling over who would succeed the late Jalal Talabani, the former Iraqi president’s son, Bafel Talabani, and cousin Lahur Talabany were elected as the co-chairs of the PUK in February 2020.

Their internal issues surfaced in 2021, when Bafel Talabani's illegal coup that changed the leadership of the party’s intelligence agency and counter-terrorism units, which were affiliated with Lahur Talabany, replacing them with people loyal to himself - effectively ousting Lahur Talabany from power. In January, he founded Baray Gal

On Saturday, he held a rally in Erbil, telling supporters that only his party can “stand against” both the KDP and the PUK.

In my valued opinion Lahur and his party should work with the KDP to undo the damage that Bafel Talabani has done to Sulaimani and Kurdistan as a whole

My thoughts are with Lahur Talabany

We all know the reason his new party did so badly was that Bafel Talabani and his Mafia had commanded the PUK Peshmerga to vote for his friends in the PUK as failure to do so could lose them their jobs.

The poor frightened voters were made to show photos of their voting slip to PUK at polling stations to confirm they voted PUK.

Today (Sunday) hopefully the general population should be able to vote more freely, we all know that Lahur is a far more popular person than his evil cousin Bafel :ymhug:

Re: Bafel's mafia voter intimidation stole votes from Baray

PostAuthor: Anthea » Sun Oct 20, 2024 11:02 am

Recap:

On the PUK's fourth congress in December 2019, Sheikh Lahur Talabany received the most votes by the General Leadership Council because he was the most liked, highly respected and by far the better person. In a compromise, he and Bafel were proclaimed co-presidents

July 2021 in a generally ignored illegal coup Bafel shut down a media outlet close to Sheikh Lahur Talabany, which is why the coup was generally unnoticed by the general population.

Then Bafel and his Mafia inner circle, ousted several important commanders from the counter-terrorism and intelligence units of the PUK, who were seen as affiliates of Lahur.

We ALL know how Bafel became a TRAITOR to Kurdistan and all the Peshmerga who died fighting for Kurdish Independence.

In reality only the uninformed or members of Bafel's Mafia would actually WILLINGLY and without being commanded to do so, vote for Bafel and his inner circle.

It is obvious that Lahur is far more popular than Bafel ever was, yet we see Bafel's PUK winning more votes than Lahur's Baray Gal.

We know this is due to voter intimidation and the fact that Bafel's PUK were commanded to vote for him, other public servants were told that if they did not vote for Bafel's PUK they would lose their jobs.

The mobile phones were used to take photos so that the intimidated voters could prove they had voted for Bafel's PUK

Lahur's Baray Gal is being robbed as people are too afraid of Bafel to vote freely.

PUK leader urges setting aside party politics

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Traitorous leader Bafel Talabani on Wednesday urged parties to set aside differences, as the Kurdistan Region is gearing up to form a government, following the Region’s parliamentary elections

“The more united Kurdistan is, the more united Kurdistan’s voice will be and the more we can endeavor for the rights of this people, in Baghdad and in foreign nations,” the PUK leader said during a panel at Middle East Research Institute (MERI) in Erbil, adding that his party is open to partnerships with any group that prioritizes “setting aside party interests” to “serving our people.”

(Remember the Traitorous Bafel Talabani went against the referendum in which well over 90% of Kurds wanted an Independent Kurdistan and gave vast parts of Kurdistan to Iraq)

His statement came hours after Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced the final results of the Kurdistan Region’s long-delayed parliamentary elections.

The Kurdistan Region held the legislative elections on October 20, with no party gaining enough seats to form a government alone. The winning parties will have to form a coalition in the 100-seat parliament.

“The process does not end after the elections, rather it is now that the depth of the process truly begins,” added the PUK leader. (Someone PLEASE arrest this evil man before he destroys what is left of Kurdistan)

In its election campaign rallies, which ran from September 25 to October 15, the PUK presented itself as an opposition force to the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), despite having partnered with the KDP in the previous governments.

"What is important for you to know is that we are ready to come to an agreement with all fronts, but if a front does not come forward then we will not sit and wait," Talabani said in reference to forming coalitions for the next government.

After the 2018 elections, the government formation process dragged on for more than a year due to disputes over the distribution of positions.

In the Region’s parliament elections, the KDP won 39 seats and the PUK 23. Forming the next cabinet requires at least 51 seats.

The most outspoken opposition, the New Generation Movement (NGM), led by businessman-turned-politician Shaswar Abdulwahid, won 15 seats, rising to become the third-largest party in the Region.

Decisive contenders for forming an alliance are the NGM and Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) which won seven seats, the National Stance Movement (Halwest) with four seats, the Kurdistan Justice Group (Komal) with three seats, and the People’s Front (Baray Gal) with two seats.

They could potentially help either KDP or PUK reach the required majority, should the two ruling parties fail to form a coalition for the next government.

On Saturday, however, Komal announced that they will not take part in the next government.

"The atmosphere is better now for a serious change in Kurdistan," Talabani said.

During the last day of the campaign in the capital Erbil, Talabani promised reforms and to “create the best government,” admitting that his party had not done enough in the past which he attributed to a lack of a unified leadership within his party. (That would be before the illegal coup whereby the evil traitor Bafel Talabani illegally removed legally elected members including Lahur Talabany, from office)

Following years of wrangling over who would succeed the late Jalal Talabani, his son Bafel Talabani, and nephew, Lahur Talabany were elected as the co-chairs of the PUK in February 2020, with the latter ultimately being ousted and subsequently formed Baray Gal (People’s Front).
