a Music CD from Kurdistan of Xorasan

as you may know there are 2 million kurds in North "East" of iran (thousands killometers far from real kurdistan)

a cd has publised named "Kirmanc" by a music group of kurds of xorasn .

please somebody who knows kirmanci listen to it and tell me if it is the same with northern kurdistan's kirmanci.

Firstly the music is very near to Northern and Western Kurdish tembur !

It is kirmancî, but with a softer accent, sounds like Sorani. Some way of speaking are like South-Eastern kirmancî (Botan, for example).

If I were not aware it is Xorasanî, I would have said : "Bohti or Zaroyî or amadiya ?" Southern kirmancî, then.

I am waiting impatiently Dîrî's comments.

I have written down the first half of the song. The Kurds in Xoresan are mainly from the Jelalî tribe - but that was at the time of deportation. Today it is more "practical" to say they were from Makû, Xoy, Selmas and in general from west of lake Ûrmiye - including Beyazîd in todays Northern Kurdistan.

But I think 1) a prayer for her own death (in e.g. before she takes her own life (because of sorrow and love) is the most likely meaning. But "Elaw mezar" can be 2) a prayer for a dead in grave. 3) it can be the name of a poem. 4) it can be the name of a song.

Actually - this is Shikakî dialect - but since they have lived away from Kurdistan for so long, their dialect has gone softer - and they use some Persian words...

My mother speaks Shikakî - so I hear it daily... My own dialect is a bit different - like the difference between Duhokî and Zaxoyî...

It seems - when Kurmancî meets Persian - there is a tendency to go towards the already established Soranî dialect...

I had some help with some words - like "Serhilînim" - which I should have understood - since it's root is "Hilkirin" =" To light" - for example: Agir hilkir = he/she lighted the fire...

"Heray" - which is same as "Hewar" - also a word I didn't come around by myself, but which is very logical too...

And "dutawrek bî xayi" was something I wouldn't have figured out even if I tried for hours... And this whole post I wrote (writing and translating the lyrics) took me a good 2 hours...

There was one line which was simply not understandable - I can't hear the words he's saying there...

Did you understand what he said? It is the one I wrote "inaudible" on...

in sine dailect we also use Hera , you see how sine dailect is close to shikaki ?
