My thoughts of the day

This is where you can talk about every subject (previously it was called shout room)

And eating animals is one of those topics, like abortion, where it is impossible to definitively know some of the most important details (When is a fetus a person, as opposed to a potential person? What is animal experience really like?) and that cuts right to one’s deepest discomforts, often provoking defensiveness or aggression. It’s a slippery, frustrating, and resonant subject. Each question prompts another, and it’s easy to find yourself defending a position far more extreme than you actually believe or could live by. Or worse, finding no position worth defending or living by. Then there is the difficulty of discerning the difference between how something feels and what something is. Too often, arguments about eating animals aren’t arguments at all, but statements of taste. And where there are facts—this is how much pork we eat; these are how many mangrove swamps have been destroyed by aquaculture; this is how a cow is killed—there’s the question of what we can actually do with them. Should they be ethically compelling? Communally? Legally? Or just more information for each eater to digest as he sees fit?

Just read that the worst thing to say to a woman in a discuss is : "Calm down". Men often tell that and that make us mad. That's so true.

One of the things I would like to do before dying :

To find, in Aleppo, where is Sohrawardî's tomb (and then crying and craying more than a Shiite on Muharram 10th ).

I've learnt the existence of 'organic pizzas. Seems as weird as the 'halal nems' that I've already seen.

Piling is the greatest coward among the cats. When the technician entered in the flat, he shout and jumped in my bed, hiding under the cover.

The guy was not bad to look. Wanted absolutely to shake my hand when he left me, as if he met someone unusual. Probably because most of ppl in the same case are afraid and hysteric. I am never hysteric in emergency event, police raid, bomb attack etc. I am hysteric only when I fail to make a good mayonnaise or Chantilly cream.

Piling is not exactly a guard cat :))

You sound as though you lead an interesting life what with gas emergencies, police raids and bomb attacks =))

I saw somebody shot once, but I did not become hysterical, think I was in shock, still have nightmares

My mayonnaise comes in a jar with the word mayonnaise written on it ;)

Once, i ate in a restaurant and then went to WC. There, I saw the cook dead, fallen on the ground. So I went out, and in the restaurant room talked to the owner :
'ahem, sorry, Sir, but I think that your cook is fallen dead on the toilet.'
5 second before I spoke, all the people were hysterical. But no one moved, except for hiding under tables.

So I ordered to the owner to call emergency rescuer, I came back to the WC room, made a cardiac massage, and as in the movie The Empire in the Sun, he opened his eyes.

A friend who followed me shout : He lived ! (as the boy in the movie).
I answered (as the doctor in the movie) : 'No. I just sent blood in his brain and he had a reflex, but he's dead'

Rescuers came and in their slow way to act,I saw they knew he was dead (so my diagnosis was good).

1 month later I rescued in Dersim a stupid girl in a river and later an epilectic man in a bus between Sivas and Erzurum. This was my great 2001 Summer B-)

I don't lose my cold blood. Not because I am brave : I am just an alien on this earth /:)
