16 March

I still have not worked out exactly what evil erDOGan is up to but whatever his nasty plans are one thing is absolutely certain, the Kurds are going to suffer X(

All those freedom fighters who joined the PKK to fight for a free Kurdistan have been betrayed.

Look at the timing X(

THOUSANDS of Syrian Kurds joined the PKK and THOUSANDS of them died while in the PKK fighting for a Free Kurdistan.

There is a fully fledged civil war going on in Syria and the Kurds intend to come out with either an Independent Western Kurdistan or at the very least a self governing autonomous Kurdish region.

Now is the time that Syrian Kurds expect to receive support from the PKK, especially as so many of them died fighting in it.

erDOGan is making sure that there will be NO PKK to support the Kurds of WK because as he had said himself many times he does NOT want Kurds to have an autonomous region of their own in Syria X(

The PKK has the organisation and network to bring MILLIONS of people out on to the streets. It has in its power the ability to govern North Kurdistan and bring about it's Independence.

The PKK have always shown respect to its martyrs. I hope that the PKK will continue to do so unlike Ocalan who is an insult to all the courageous fighters of the PKK

I have been recovering from a very nasty flu type bug (cough couch) taking it easy :D

I have NOT been well enough to eat chocolate for nearly 2 weeks :((

Catch up on news :D Annoy a few people :ymdevil: Relaxing game or 2 :)

Then all of a sudden I realised that Easter will be here soon, and with Easter comes an end to Lent and a beginning of my marathon Mah-jong competition with Piling :-s

Mad dash to learn how to play again 8-}

Build up some muscles in my right hand ready to do battle :))

Only just over a week to go before Easter and Piling's return :-s

I am ignoring the pending disaster in what could have been North Kurdistan [-(

20 March

Some see wonderful celebrations.

Others see a well organised mass hysteria that defies both logic and reason promoting, as it does, an irrational beliefs based on suggestions, misinformation and communal reinforcement. Thus enabling the Turkish government to manipulate the Kurdish masses without them even realising it.

It is the worst sort of population control. Rather like the Stockholm syndrome only on a much larger scale.

Turkey will allow Kurds a few more rights. Absolutely nothing to do with Kurdish demands, more to do with what the EU demands of Turkey to enable it's entry.

Famous philosopher George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"

20 March (part 2)

If Ocalan tells the PKK to leave Turkish soil after so many thousands of brave fighters
have lost their lives fighting for a free Kurdistan, I hope they will remember this:

Image

Ocalan should hold this picture in his hand and repeat these words "I love Turkey so much that I want Kurds to
give up any rights to a Free Kurdistan." Then get down on his KNEES and beg forgiveness from all the THOUSANDS
of PROUD Kurds who died fighting for a FREE KURDISTAN and the freedom for future generations of Kurds X(

Don't be so pessimist : Perhaps he is only destroying the PKK and considering the current situation,it won't be a big loss for Kurds. They should create a new movement, free from Erdoğand AND from Öcalan.

But I guess that a such initiative would be crushed between AKP and PKK repression. :-?

With all the advancement it modern surveillance technology there is absolutely no chance of any group forming along the lines of the PKK, or any other Kurdish group.

The BDP have always been on Turkey's side and their MPs are much more interested in their own egos than the needs of the Kurdish population.

My fear is for the young Kurds living in Turkey. They know what is happening in the world. They know their history far better than their parents did. They expected a Free Kurdistan, or at least an autonomous Kurdish region. They all have friends and relations who have died fighting for freedom in the PKK. I think that if those on Qandil do not take charge of the situation quickly there will be a very violent civil war :ymsick:

23 March

Often I think that people forget all the Kurdish uprisings and believe Kurds to have been contented to remain divided and under occupation of various fascist countries until Ocalan came along. This is NOT true X(

Below is a list of Kurdish uprisings since 1916 and the reason why Ocalan does NOT have the right to deny Kurds Independence:

1916, March - The first Dersim uprising
1919, 11 May - Ali Batti (Elîkê Bettê) uprising
1919, 21 May - 1922 - First Mahmud Barzanji Revolt
1919–1922 - Rebellion of Simko Shikak in Iranian Kurdistan.[11]
1920 - Koçkiri Rebellion by Koçgiri tribal confederation.

1923-1924, Second Mahmud Barzanji revolt, during which the Kingdom of Kurdistan was declared.
1924, 4 September, Beytüşşebap uprising
1925, 14 February-31 May, Shaikh Said rebellion in Diyarbakir and Mardin regions of Turkey.[12]
1925, 10 June, Nehri uprising
1925, 7 August- 1926, Raman and Reşkotan uprising
1926, 21 January, Hazro uprising
1926–1930, Ararat Rebellion
1926, 16 May - 17 June - The first Ararat Rebellion.
1926, 7 October - Koçuşağı uprising
1927, 26 May - 25 August - Mutki uprising.
1927, 13 September - The second Ararat rebellion.
1927, Bicar uprising
1928, Sason-Pervari and Kozluk uprising
1929, 22 May-3 August, Zilan uprising
1929, 6 July, Asi Resul uprising
1929, Tendürek uprising
1930, 26 May, Savur uprising
1930, 20 June, Zeylan (Zilan) uprising
1930, 21 July, Oramar uprising
1930, 7-14 September, The third Ararat Operation.
1930, September, Third Mahmud Barzanji uprising.
1930, 24 October, Pülümür uprising.
1931, November, Shaikh Ahmed Barzani uprising in Iraq.
1935, September, 1935 Yazidi revolt and Kurdish uprising in Iraq against consription.

World War II until present

1941–1944, Hama Rashid's Revolt in Iranian Kurdistan.
1946, The Iranian invasion of the autonomous Republic of Mahabad
1961–1970, First Kurdish Iraqi War, a military struggle by Barzanis in Iraqi Kurdistan against Iraqi government.
1974–1975, The Second Kurdish Iraqi War.

24 March

Today many of my Kurdish friends celebrate Newroz in Finsbury Park North London. I have not gone because there is nothing to celebrate X(

I do not wish to see my trusting Kurdish friends because it would upset me far too much :((

Many actually believe that Ocalan has a hidden plan that will give them independence.

REALLY. HONESTLY. SERIOUSLY. They believe that Ocalan has a secret plan :-o

They do not understand that Ocalan and erDOGan are working together to unite and strengthen Turkey

Many of my friends do not realise the long-term ramifications of this so-called peace plan. We know that because of Ocalan's surrender and betrayal there will be no Kurdish Independence or autonomous Kurdish region EVER. There will be no North Kurdistan. Future generations of Kurdish children will all just be third class Mountain Turks with all hope of a united Kurdistan stolen from them.

Many Kurds get their information from PKK who are probably struggling to keep control. We remember all the dangerous in-fighting that took place when Ocalan was arrested. It could be much more dangerous this time. And by dangerous I do mean deadly dangerous X( Those of you who are over 40 know exactly what I am referring to, and how dangerous the situation became :ymsick:

We don't Need to be that pessimistic Anthea because one Thing is sure. A Kurdish Autonomy Region will definitely come, there is no other Option. If PKK and Öcalan won't create it, the 50 Million Kurdish Population will do it.

I see with my own eyes how patriotic and nationalist the younger Kurdish Generation is. Especially here in Europe. And this Young Kurdish Generation, who will be the Future of the Kurdish Nation won't accept a life under Turkish rule, flag and State. Never. Kurds won't accept this. The reason why people follow and respect Öcalan is because of his repuation and people still believe that he and PKK will create the autonomy. But the Point is. Kurdish People want an Independent Kurdistan which either contains a own State or a own Autonomy Region at the very least. And as Long as this won't happen the fight won't end. That's for sure. Actually the fight will be much more brutal than before.

And the Turkish State and the Turks should be very careful. When they move on in goading the Kurdish Nation and fooling the People, the civil war will be inevitable. That's not my words. Even expertes who deals with the Kurdish Topic say that a huge war whose huge Dimension will be unpredictable will happen if this problem won't be solved right now. This is the last Chance at the Moment. Actually, in 1999, after Apos capture Istanbul was already under fire. Only Öcalan himself could stop it and he did to prevent the civil war. So there is only one choice. Kurdish Autonomy and to accept each other or the total destruction of Turkey which would be the end for everyone. Nobody wants this but this will be the only Logical conclusion-
