Peshmerga military power:-
Number of troops: 375,000
2000-4000 Heavy armoured vehicles (Captured all the way from gulf war 1 - iraq war in 2003) as you will see some of the pictures are old, some are newer.
Unknown amount of artilery.
In the past I have seen articles claiming that peshmerga also have helicopters, however I have not seen any pictures, this is becuase KRG is very secretive about their military power.

This are just some pics that managed to get out, when the weapons were captured, after that no one has seen them.
P.S puk and kdp have both been operating tanks since 1996, so the claims that they dont know how to is very stupid.

Peshmerga tank, after 2003.

This one looks quite old, possibly from the 1990's, you can tell their old becuase now all peshmerga wear military uniform rather than kurdish clothes.

This one is quite new, peshmerga learning how to use equipment, I don't know how they managed to get this recorded, but there you go...

Great post Kak Idea

While there is a substantial amount of money being spent on equipments and training I think It is worth it . Security and Unity should be our priority .

Thanx to President Barzani even the Kurds in Iran and Turkey feel safe when they see the Kurdish army. And also let me repeat the fact that now is the best time for equipment to be purchased because Im not sure if Turkey is going to allow the Kurds to do so in not a far future.

Biji Barzaniakan Biji Kurdistani kan

While Serok Barzani is doing a great Job , I think it is just wrong to credit him with everything . We have to distance ourselves from the mentality of worshiping our leaders . They are elected civil servants and they should be treated as such .
Barzan DOES NOT= Kurdistan

Secondly , We can make much more trouble for turkey than turkey can make for us . We do not have much to lose and everything to gain and the opposit is true for them .
