I wrote this for a friend of mine 20 years ago - he was the UK representative of the PKK - a man with no name - from him I learnt the passion of the freedom fighters and the love of Kurdistan so strong that they would give up family and friends to fight for the freedom of the Kurdish people and the right to be a Kurd

Long years ago - as I sat in a restaurant with my Kurdish friends - one from Germany and one from Iraq - we needed translators to enable us to speak with each other - my friends spoke of their history and their hopes for future generations - and of the sadness of they both felt as Kurds sitting next to each other, yet not being able to speak to each other

Perhaps they are both dead now But I will NEVER forget

I dedicate this to all Kurdish Freedom Fighters

I am Peace, He is War
In love I am rich, in money I am poor
I am a psychic, many things do I see
I am a healer, for peace I must plea

War is He, Peace am I
He's of a people who suffer and die
During His struggle, He gave up his wife
Now I pray He won't give up his life

I am Peace, His friend I'll be
He is War, but I'll make him see
The only way forward if for people to share
We'll all work together, to make people care.
