But I have always supported KURDISH INDEPENDENCE.
They are 30 million of you, and you do not even have a seat at the United Nations.
The royal family of BAHRAIN has a voice in the General Assembly, and not even the KURDS!
Welcome to Roj bash Orly83 , It is good to have you here . I'm a Kurdish Canadian and let me tell you bro , I can not survive without Tim Hortons and the famous canadain bacon .
We are not above anyone , Yet we not below anyone either dispite the occupation . Political correctness and the general acceptence is what Kurds and kurdistan is striving for in this stage of our struggle .The progress in the kurdish struggle in northen and southren kurdistan is very slow YET it is very certain , because the alternetives for the Arabs and Turks are ZERO . Kurdistan has entered a brand new stage with some economic power and major national and some international support , and by that I mean the freedom and democratic movements and people (like you ) in the world not the govenments necessarly .

USA as a capitalist country does not get involved in any conflict unless it is profitable or it is required to protect it's interest in the region. We were/are no naive to the mere slogons of liberty and drums of freedom that US played , but Kurds at that stage were willing to deal even with devil to stop the kurdish Genocide especially after Halabja and Anfal Operation by Saddam's regime .

Yet YOU RECEIVE SO LITTLE SUPPORT from the global community.
Trust me bro , Not having a country is MUCH better than having a country like Iran or Afghanistan , That is the main reason for fighting extremism . We are trying very hard in southern Kurdistan to build a civil society where the LAW not some Mulla is running the country .

like the Italian say " forget about it "

War is never good , then again life is a paradox , You can not have peace without a war .
Orly83 wrote:Why do I get so much hostility in the west for believing in your cause?
Anyway, just a thought.
I have nothing but admiration for you guys.
change in the political map of the region is scary

.......... espcially when there is money involved .
